It has always been believed that to scent the atmosphere with fine, rare and exotic fragrances will attract the Gods, Burning granular incense, gums, seeds, root, bark or herbs requires charcoal. It is a very old method and was widely used before incense sticks became a convenient substitute. Incense Charcoal burns cleanly and without an odor of its own, thereby releasing the fragrance, free from any impurities. Incense, gums, and herbs burnt on charcoal provide the cleanest aroma and purest vibrations for ritual/spell work. CAUTION: Handle the charcoal with a pair of tongs as you light it and allow the row of sparks to work its way over the disk. Then place it on top of the foil in your burner. DO NOT touch the HOT charcoal with your bare hands.
